The President of Castilla-La Mancha, José María Barreda, will preside over the 20th edition of the 'Gran Selección 2009' awards in Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) tomorrow, Wednesday.
Twenty-five prizes will be awarded in this edition and 356 samples have been presented in the different categories and specialities.
The "Gran Selección" competition has established itself as a benchmark for quality assurance and is the best showcase for the region's foodstuffs, as the award winners represent the Region of Castilla-La Mancha at national and international fairs and events throughout the year, as well as starring in the promotional campaigns of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
