In this 21st edition of the Gran Selección 2010 awards, 26 prizes have been awarded in the different categories established for each of the seven products entered in the competition, with the aim of rewarding and recognising the best products of this year in Castilla-La Mancha.
The prize-giving ceremony took place at the Parador Nacional de Sigüenza (Guadalajara).
A total of 392 samples of all the products submitted from the five provinces of Castile-La Mancha were entered. Specifically, 174 came from Ciudad Real, 62 from Cuenca, 58 from Albacete, 88 from Toledo and 10 from Guadalajara.
The Gran Selección 2010 award for the best saffron with D.O. Azafrán de La Mancha saffron goes to 'Azafrán de la mancha la Rosera' from the company Bealar, S.L., from Motilla del Palancar (Cuenca).
